What is managed WordPress hosting?
Hosting where somebody looks after the website as well as the server: updates, backups, security and fixes. Cheap shared hosting gives you the server and leaves the rest to you. Better looks after all of it.
Where is my website hosted?
On DigitalOcean servers we set up and manage, with a content delivery network in front so pages load quickly wherever your visitors are. Your backups are kept with a different provider, in a different data centre.
Do you move my website for me?
Yes. We look at your website first, then move it onto our hosting and check it works before we call it done.
How much does WordPress hosting cost?
Hosting is included in every Better plan: £150, £500 or £2,000 a month + VAT, depending on how much else you want looking after.
What do I get for my monthly fee?
We keep WordPress and your plugins up to date, including security patches. Every month we audit your website, check it works as it should and fix what we find. We back your website up every day to a separate location.
If something looks wrong, you can call or email us from 10:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday. Better+ and Better Marketing include 45 minutes of studio time a month for questions, advice and small changes, like updating content you send us or changing contact details.
What isn't included?
Support outside 10:00 to 16:00 on weekdays, including evenings and weekends. Building new, complex features. Writing the content for your website.
